Pricing is one of the basic concepts in economics and specially in marketing. It is very significant for library and INFORMATION professionals to know about its principles, methods, objectives, challenges and solution (strategies), specially for the use of these concepts in providing INFORMATION SERVICES and access. Since less attention has been paid to the pricing concept in LIS, this article attempts to study dimensions of the pricing concept with a particular emphasis on INFORMATION SERVICES and sources. It presents a model of basic and effective factors on pricing this SERVICES and sources. Other subjects studied in this article are: importance of paying more attention to the economy of INFORMATION, specially the pricing principles of INFORMATION SERVICES and sources, pricing objectives, the effective factors of pricing, differences and similarities in pricing INFORMATION SERVICES and sources in comparison to other economic SERVICES and goods, cost estimation, and strategies about pricing INFORMATION SERVICES and sources to present effective SERVICES.

Purpose: INFORMATION marketing involves the processes and interactions that lead to the satisfaction of users and revenue for libraries and INFORMATION centers. This paper aims to address the issue of INFORMATION and its role in economic activities and issues related to marketing. Also, it focuses on INFORMATION SERVICES pricing as one of the dimensions of marketing programs, and studies and analyses different approaches and perspectives.Methodology: This paper uses Library approach for reviewing the research done in the field of INFORMATION marketing and INFORMATION SERVICES pricing.Findings: The factors affecting pricing INFORMATION resources and SERVICES include: environmental and external factors, recognition of the objectives (including the financial and organizational goals of INFORMATION centers), recognition of the market and the use of customer feedbacks and comments, other components of mixed marketing mixed including kinds of goods or SERVICES, distribution and promotion channels, the expected SERVICES as cost supplier, and being profitable or subsidized SERVICES. The main identified approaches in INFORMATION SERVICES pricing are: pricing based on costs, pricing based on market structure and competition, pricing based on customer demand, integrated approach, entrepreneurial approach, and pricing based on the value.Conclusion: Continuity of supplying INFORMATION resources and SERVICES depends on considering the financial, economic, and profit aspects. In supplying INFORMATION SERVICES and resources, several factors have essential roles: first of all, is studying for design and analysis of financial and economic aspects of developing and handling these centers. Through INFORMATION about pricing, the basic methods of cost estimating and techniques and strategies of INFORMATION SERVICES and resources pricing to provide efficient SERVICES can be identifiable. Librarians and INFORMATION SERVICES staff should note that the acquisition, organization and dissemination of INFORMATION should be based on the new concept of marketing for meeting users' satisfaction. A principled and coherent marketing plan enables libraries in the competition current world today to identify targets and actions in line with the clients' expected SERVICES.

Mobile phones have revolutionized telecommunications and communications and have had a massive impact on our private and social life. Mobile phones have had an undeniable impact on all aspects of our social, economic, cultural and scientific lives in a way that it would not be wise to ignore them in designing and implementing any INFORMATION system. This article aims to introduce and discuss the capacities of mobile phone technology as a communication tool for library SERVICES, with an emphasis on its application in Iranian library and INFORMATION centers.

Studying the knowledge and experience of INFORMATION retrieval specialists shows that, usually, a set of factors affects the search for web-based INFORMATION, especially the Internet. It seems that the implementation of web based technologies, including portal, may facilitate the process of INFORMATION retrieval and improve the effectiveness of INFORMATION SERVICES. So, research was undertaken on a sample of employees and users at Malek- Ashtar University of Technology, Imam Hussein University and Dana INFORMATION Network INFORMATION centers, in order to evaluate their views regarding the effectiveness of INFORMATION SERVICES through portal technology implementation. The research was made, based on a hypothesis, in which the correlation between the dependent variable of "INFORMATION SERVICES effectiveness" and the independent variable of "establishment of defense portal" was going to be determined. The reliability of the questionnaire used in this research was measured through Kronbach's alpha method and by using SPSS software, which showed an alpha coefficient of 84%. The hypothesis was measured by the main questions of 10 and 16 and the controller questions of 11 and 12 in the questionnaire through Mann- Whitney's U method. This proved a correlation between the two above mentioned variables with a variability of + /- 1% at the 92% confidence level. Also, the meaningful correlation between "the effectiveness of INFORMATION SERVICES" and factors such as "INFORMATION adaptation", "ease of use", "personalization" and "users' knowledge about web and the Internet" was examined using the Spearman rank-order correlation method. These factors showed 47%, 47%, 42% and 40% coefficients of correlation, respectively. Finally, based upon research results, some suggestions were made for the improvement of INFORMATION service effectiveness through portal technology at the above mentioned centers. Purpose: Considering that health INFORMATION has a fundamental role in increasing the level of health of people in todayʼs societies, it provides a suitable platform for the growth and development of health systems in different countries. This study aimed to investigate the health INFORMATION needs and how to access health INFORMATION among those referred to public libraries in Tehran. Method: The research is an applied study in terms of purpose that were conducted with a qualitative approach. In the qualitative phase, by using the method of content analysis of semi-structured interviews of three groups of health INFORMATION specialists, librarians working in public libraries and researchers in the field of health INFORMATION, the components of the service model based on health INFORMATION in public libraries were obtained. Findings: The proposed model for providing SERVICES based on health INFORMATION in public libraries has five categories, which are: “Identifying user needsˮ, “Planningˮ, “Evaluationˮ, “Barriersˮ, “Promoting factorsˮ. The results of the qualitative part showed that the librariansʼ expectations from the countryʼs public libraries in the field of SERVICES based on providing health INFORMATION are the following: the cooperation of the public libraries with organizations in the health fields, needs assessment and planning approach in the field of health INFORMATION, use of extensive INFORMATION methods, evaluation, organization of health INFORMATION resources, infrastructural barriers, barriers related to librarians, and barriers related to library resources. The proposed model of health INFORMATION-based SERVICES in the public libraries has five categories, namely: “Identifying the userʼs needsˮ, “Planningˮ, “Evaluationˮ, “Barriersˮ, and “Leading factorsˮ. Originality/value: This article draws the attention of public library service managers to the issue of identifying health INFORMATION-based SERVICES based on the proposed model and providing them with various facilities for using public libraries leading to the precise and optimal use of health INFORMATION-based SERVICES in the society, which may cause the advancement of libraries in delivering reliable health INFORMATION SERVICES to clients.

Introduction: Many new technologies of Mobile phone use in the library and INFORMATION SERVICES. The present study explored the utilization of medical students in the use of mobile SERVICES in INFORMATION technology deals.Methods: The research method is descriptive. The study population included all medical students of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, of which 164 were selected by stratified random sampling method. Gathering tool, the questionnaire confirmed the validity of the questionnaire scale, the Cronbach's alpha value of 0.965.Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, statistical tests such as the one-sample and two-sample T-test, correlation coefficient test, Friedman test. Test levels equal was considered a=0.05.Results: Respondents were 75 male and 89 female.7.42 % of students were attending daily to the Internet for INFORMATION and the vast majority of the WIFI at a rate 3.45 % would use to connect to the Internet. Respondents ' awareness of cell phone service in libraries 22 % And the tendency towards the use of mobile SERVICES is moderate.Training about the use of mobile SERVICES was moderate to high. Students tend most use to send messages, view email, connect to social networks. Students want to renew borrowed books from the library and search through mobile.Conclusions: Most of the Internet connectivity is provided via wireless. Medical students have a tendency to moderate the use of these technologies and there was not much awareness about library SERVICES based on mobile phones. Most of them were willing to renew books and searching resources.
